Story of Prashant Lonkar

While Prashant Lonkar had completed in 10th standard with flying colours, he could not study further as his father who was working as a cab driver lost his life due to a car accident. Prashant had to take the responsibilities of his entire family in Kothrud area, Pune, Maharashtra. His mother was already going through a lot of health issues and his sister was too young to take responsibilities.
Under Mission “Saksham” Prashant was given Rupees 60,000 to set up a small grocery store and earn his livelihood.
Prashant now delivers milk packets to around 250 household early in the morning and then takes care of his grocery shop. He earns around rupees 2500 profit per day which is helping him meet his necessities.
