Gender Equality and gender transformative change:

Women are the pivot around which the entire society revolves. No society can develop or grow without the growth of the women in the society. Deep rooted gender inequitable, power dynamics & Social norms to the vulnerabilities and marginalization of women in many communities.

As an organization, our aim is to work for the gender equality and women rights. We aim at bringing a transformative change at individual, household & community levels. Saksham Parivartan is committed to address gender based violence & discrimination, promote women empowerment and encouraging equality in very way.

Our on-ground programmes feature a strong gender component that allows men and women, boys and girls to live with mutual respect and equal opportunities. Behaviour change communication is the key element across all our project to enhance awareness and strengthen the ability.

We seek to address the unique needs and priorities of women and girls from diverse groups including those from less privileged. By giving immense importance to an all inclusive society, we can adverse gender equality and social justice for all.

We do this by our specially developed tools and communication outreach that promotes engagement with community, service providers, govt. functionaries and market players.

Our Programmes

SAKHI –

Sakhi is a pilot programme to respond to women who report injuries caused by physical abuse from spouses. During lockdown in 2020 when most social support system were closed, SAKHI was completely functional to spread its reach into the community. Four out of ten women face violence from their spouses. Many of them sustain injuries and need help. Identifying the need to reach out to such women and provide them with support. SAKHI was launched in 2020 to reach out to women & support them with medical aid. Through our tell-counselling programme, they are provided mental support to overcome the trauma of physical abuse.
