Which areas does Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust work in?

There are  primary areas in which we run programmes, namely Sanitation and Health, Social Change, Livelihoods and Empowering Senior Citizen and Education. Our work includes bringing about gender transformative change, building resilience and inclusive governance.

What is the footprint of Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust?

We work in 2 states in India. They are Odisha & Maharashtra. Our work focuses on India; we do not have projects in other countries.

How will my donation make a difference?

The money collected from our fundraising initiatives are used for:

  • Empowering women and girls from poor and marginalised communities to rise above abject poverty and social exclusion
  • Funding our extensive programmes across 2 states like providing education to out-of-school, facilitating sustainable livelihoods for project participants, and empowering women and specially abled.
  • Bringing about a more gender equal society, build resilience among communities to overcome exclusion, poverty and disasters, and connect women entrepreneurs to markets
  • Strengthening healthcare and education delivery systems so that benefits reach the last mile
How do you keep a donor’s personal information secure?

We value the support provided by our donors. Therefore, their privacy concerns regarding the safety of their personal information is of paramount importance. The donor data is not exposed or shared with any external agencies.

What kind of tax benefit will I get by donating? Will Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust provide me with the required receipt for claiming tax benefits?

All donations to Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust are eligible for 50% tax exemption under Section 80 G. Tax receipts are provided to all our donors, regardless of the amount of contribution, via email and snail mail. What are the primary sources of Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust’s funding?

We receive funding from individuals like you, corporates and institutions.

How do you choose your projects?

We choose projects based on our strategic programming framework, which provides guidance on matters of where we work, with whom and for what outcome.

How do you choose the local NGO partners for your projects?

Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust works with 80-100 local partners every year. Over the last 65 years in India, CARE has developed relationships based on trust, efficiency and transparency with many local NGOs. There is a rigorous process of due diligence which an NGO has to go through before they are cleared to work with us.

Can I get the details of the beneficiaries of my donation?

We regret that we do not share the personal details of the beneficiaries with our donors. The money collected from our fundraising initiatives are pooled together, and then utilized among the programs according to the needs and urgency. Your contribution does not get directed to a single beneficiary.

Can I donate in kind to Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust?

We do not accept donations in kind due to logistical issues.

Does Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust work with third party agencies for fundraising activities?

Yes, we do. We do intensive training sessions with them so that they are fully knowledgeable about CARE and its programmes, and can share important information as and when required.

How have you built your trust with donors?

Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust has been working to empower marginalised women and children in India for  more than 10 years. Our credibility lies in the work we have done with women and children on the ground. Last year we have brought positive change in the lives of over 1 million people directly and .5 million people indirectly. Our efforts have been recognised by the national and state governments; our projects have been adopted and scaled-up by various levels of governments. Saksham Parivartan Charitable Trust has also won prestigious awards for its work.
